With most of the slopes having medium to steep inclines, Hachimantai-shi Tayama Ski Resort is a great place for those looking to improve their technique. All areas are open to snowboarders as well. Ski racing lessons are also available, and poles and training equipment for drills can be rented. There are also jump ramps, as well as cross-country and biathlon trails.
