Boasting the highest altitude and the longest season around, this resort offers a spectacular 360-degree panorama featuring Mt. Fuji, the Northern Alps, Sado Island, Mt. Tanigawa, and Mt. Akagi. Even the base area sits at 1,700 meters—an elevation higher than the summits of many other ski resorts. The slopes include long runs extending east and west from Mt. Yokote, the Kaiwa Slope (ideal for racing), and the otherworldly Shibutoge area. Skiing amidst a sea of clouds at this "resort in the sky" promises a truly unique experience found nowhere else.
