Hot springs and local cuisineThere's plenty to do in the city center!
Gujo City is incredibly rich in nature. Forests cover 90% of the land, and several rivers, including the Nagara River, flow through the city. The Gujo Hachiman area, the heart of the city, is a traditional castle town that will make you want to take lots of pictures. In summer, the town is crowded with people for the famous Gujo Odori Dance Festival, but in winter it offers a quiet atmosphere with snow falling steadily.
Stay overnight to fully enjoy the town and try local dishes like "Keichan," a chicken and vegetable stir-fry.
