It's a beautiful location, but the route layout is unclear, and there’s no easy path from the summit to the base, which makes it difficult for beginners.

I wish for more diverse and convenient restaurant options, more accessible restrooms, and a more comprehensive and clear Green Line plan that is beginner-friendly. The shuttle bus should be convenient for traveling to various hotels and suitable for families with kids.

The long-established Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort celebrated its 75th anniversary last year. It is easily accessible—just 75 minutes from Tokyo by Shinkansen, followed by a 15-minute shuttle bus ride from the nearest station. Boasting one of the biggest ski areas in the Kanto region, you'll find natural snow, diverse terrains, a variety of slopes, and some of the best night skiing in Japan. The Veranda at Ishiuchi A destination at Ishiiuchi Maruyama that lets you savor the beauty of the snowy mountains without hitting the slopes. This multi-purpose area features a snow dome tent and terrace, offering a spacious setting to relax while enjoying panoramic views of the snow-covered Uonuma Plain and the Echigo Sanzan (three mountains of Echigo), along with a café and various activities.

Ski lodge

The Resort Center inside the Central Gate Parking Area provides everything you need for a smooth start to your day, including an information desk, rental shop, stores, lockers, and changing rooms. The bright and open space also includes a lounge and a women's powder room, so you can relax and refresh even after skiing.
