List of ski resorts in Tohoku Region

The Tohoku region is located in the northern part of Honshu and consists of six prefectures of Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata and Fukushima. The area is rich in natural beauty and offers stunning scenery in all four seasons. In winter, there are many ski resorts in many snowy areas. The area is also rich in historical culture and festivals, with the "Nebuta Festival" and "Tanabata Festival" being particularly popular among tourists from both Japan and abroad. The agriculture is thriving, and rice and fruit, especially apples, are well known specialities.
