The food court offers unique Japanese menu items, such as Japanese curry - a staple dish of home cooking - as well as traditional Japanese cuisine registered on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

One particular choice recommended among the many restaurants is “Ramen Ichiba Osekkai Hachibei”. Did you know that Japanese ramen is also quite popular among overseas tourist guests?

The most popular choice is Osehachi Tonkotsu Ramen. The tonkotsu (pork bone) soup is generously topped with cloud ear mushrooms, thickly sliced barbequed pork and succulent bamboo shoots. Geto Kogen Onsen “Usagimori-no-Yu” which can also be used on day trips

Spring water pumped up from 1,700 meters below ground used in the bath is low alkaline pure spring water. “Skiers Bed”: a simple accommodation facility connected directly to the resort

For those who wish to ski or snowboard and stay overnight, we recommend the lodging facility “Skiers’ Bed” which is connected directly to the ski resort. The weekday rate including dinner and breakfast is 5,400 yen, and for days before weekends or national holidays the rate is 5,900 yen. Compared with average rates at accommodation facilities near the ski resort - roughly 10,000 yen per adult per night - this is quite a reasonable price zone.

Also, since the bath is equipped with facial foam, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hair driers, etc., you don’t need to pack those items, which is a handy point for ski travelers.

Also, there is a rest lounge on the 2F of “Skiers’ Bed”, so even those not staying overnight can take a break. This lounge has reclining deck chairs with adjustable seat backs as well as blankets, so you can take a nap and relieve fatigue. There is also a wide selection of magazines and comics available for anyone to read, so why not spend a little time relaxing?

Let’s enjoy the powder snow of Geto Kogen Resort

All the slopes at Geto Kogen Resort are wide, so you can enjoy relaxing skiing without concerns over congestion or collisions with other skiers. Also, there is a free shuttle bus service from the closest station, Kitakami.

The 40 minute ride from the station to the ski resort is a little long, however having some time to take in the beautiful snow scenery will be a nice memory of your trip.
