Taiheizan Ski Area Opas

This family-friendly ski resort is about a 30-minute drive from downtown Akita City. It is perfect for a casual day of sledding and skiing. Taiheizan Ski Area Opas has six varied trails that are suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. Facilities include a high-speed quad lift, pair lifts, the Sunkid moving belt, and night-skiing lighting, with night operations running until 9:00pm. On clear days, you can enjoy the spectacular night view of Akita City while skiing down the Million Dollar Trail.
