Shiga Kogen Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort

Resort information
Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort's beautiful woodland course makes the most of the area's natural terrain, featuring a vast and spectacular view of the distant Northern Alps from the mountain's 2,000-meter-high summit. The opening of Yakebi Valley last year has created a new sanctuary for snow sports enthusiasts, taking advantage of the bowl-shaped terrain lined with trees to create a much sought-after powder snow area. The resort's nineteen other trails offer a wide variety of terrain for beginners and advanced skiers alike. Of these trails, the Olympic Trail, which has been the site of international competitions, is especially popular with advanced skiers. For the opportunity to ski the slopes first thing in the morning before the resort's opening hours, we recommend a First Tracks session, available on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays! First Tracks sessions are a great opportunity to experience the best of our well-maintained groomed runs and high-quality powder snow on snowy days. This season's new features include a new trail which is scheduled to open, as well as the introduction of E-snow bikes. *Sleds, snowscoots, and snow striders are available as gear in the family snow park.
