Aizu Kogen Daikura Ski Resort is a ski resort where the whole family, from inexperienced kids to veteran skiers, can have a good time. One feature is a course lineup that never fails to excite, including a course for runs through snow-covered forests and a course for fantastic skiing while enjoying the breathtaking view from the peak.
Another feature specific to Aizu Kogen Daikura Ski Resort is its courses having gentle slopes overall.
Since there are also courses designed not to disappoint experienced skiers, why not check out the courses with steep slopes designed for intermediate to advanced skiers such as "Harukizawa Out Course" and "Daikura Slopes"?
Taking a leisurely cruise down the mountain while enjoying the views of the snow-covered forests and snow accumulated on both sides of the course is also something not to miss.
Free Ride Park is recommended for beginner skiers

For those who have never experienced snow before, let’s first start by getting used to snow at “Free Ride Park”. It’s a flat area with almost no incline, which is a good place for practicing the basics of skiing such as moving laterally and turning.
It’s recommended for beginners, but also for intermediate skiers wishing to polish up their technique. There are wide boxes and kickers for practicing jumping and landing, with many items aimed at raising your skill level. Free Ride Park is also popular among snowboarders and skiers who want to acquire certain techniques instead of simply sliding downhill.

“Dai-Chan Park” is popular among families

Dai-Chan Park at the foot of the slopes is recommended for young children who can’t ski yet.
"Dai-Chan," the slope mascot, comes out to greet guests. There is a wide variety of items for kids to enjoy including a slide inspired by Dai-Chan, an automated escalator, sleds, and more.
The park is filled with the laughter of children running around, having snowball fights with the piled-up snow, and making snowmen. Taking snapshots of the kids’ smiling faces is a nice way to save memories of the family trip.

It wouldn’t be Aizu, Fukushima Prefecture without sauce pork cutlets on rice

There are a number of restaurants on the slopes of Aizu Kogen Daikura Ski Resort, with a variety of menu items depending on the location. Among the many menu choices available, our top recommendation is the “Aizu Sauce Katsudon” offered at the No.1 Lodge Cafeteria.
“Aizu Sauce Katsudon” is a kind of local soul food, topped with fried pork cutlets covered in a thick Worcester sauce and shredded cabbage on a bowl of white rice.
The thick pork cutlets, crispy local cabbage, and freshly steamed white rice create an exquisite harmony together. Hot miso soup with plenty of locally grown vegetables permeates and warms the entire body.
In addition, “Aizu Curry Yakisoba”, which are fried noodles covered in curry sauce, and “Aizu Ramen” which is B-class gourmet cuisine, are also recommended. Although they are inexpensive everyday dishes, they are nonetheless popular local delicacies. Definitely check them out!
